CIM_PhysicalElement 23

CIM_PhysicalComponent

The CIM_PhysicalComponent class listed in Table 2-6 represents any low-level or basic component

within a package. A component object either cannot or does not need to be broken down into its

constituent parts. For example, an application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) cannot be broken

down into smaller discrete parts.

CIM_Chip

The CIM_Chip class listed in Table 2-7 represents any type of integrated circuit hardware,

including ASICs, processors, memory chips, and so on.
