Microsoft Exchange 2010 on Dell Systems: Simple Distributed Configurations

This reference architecture utilizes the Multi-role server and storage ―bricks‖ with internal storage. It

has been sized to provide mailbox sizes of up to 3GB each. The Mailbox IO profile is sized for up to 100

messages per mailbox per day with 20% IO headroom to accommodate up to 0.12 IOPs per mailbox. This

solution is suitable for requirements of organizations which need smaller number of mailboxes with

larger mailbox size. This solution delivers high availability using Exchange 2010 mailbox resiliency with

a two copy Database Availability Group (DAG). Both the active and passive copies are local. This

solution does not offer site resiliency.
